Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are one of the most loved celebrity couples and have been setting major relationship goals since they tied the knot in Tuscany in 2017. In a recent interview, Virat opened up about how meeting Anushka changed his life, and spoke about his admiration for her and how she embraced the motherhood journey.

In an interview with Wrogn, the cricketer revealed that his perspective has evolved after meeting Anushka. Speaking about the importance of voicing one’s opinion on social issues, he said that meeting Anushka forced him to “open up” his horizon of thinking.

The cricketer revealed that engaging in conversations with Anushka allowed him to understand what goes on in a woman’s head and how they perceive the world. This process led him to look at things from their perspective, hence transforming his outlook towards life.

Virat said that one has to learn to embrace the individuality and identity of one’s life partner. He shared about their journey of ‘growing up’ as people and spoke of their efforts towards self-improvement since they met each other for the first time.

Virat also said that Anushka taught him to stand by his truth and hold ground even if no one around believes him. He credited this virtue of Anushka to her army upbringing, as the actress’s father was with the Indian Army.

Virat also spoke at length about his journey of parenting and how he admired Anushka for balancing her career and motherhood after the arrival of their daughter Vamika. Amazed at Anushka’s “strength”, Virat said: “Just the way she’s handled everything; she shot a whole film in between.”

On the work front, Anushka is awaiting the release of sports biopic Chakda Xpress, based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
