Harbhajan Singh on IND vs ENG 2nd Test : Before the second test between India and England, the Indian team will have to make changes in its playing-11. Because Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul are out of the team due to injury. In such a situation, the selectors have included Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar and Saurabh Kumar in the team. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh believes, “Looking at the team selection, it seems clear that there will be a spinning track in Visakhapatnam also. There is a lack of batting experience so I also fear that something like the ODI World Cup 2023 final may happen to India.”

The selection of Sarfaraz instead of an experienced player like Pujara is unfair.

Harbhajan Singh said, ‘In the team selected for the second Test match, R Ashwin is the batsman who has scored the most Test runs after Rohit Sharma. In such a situation, there is lack of experience in batting. They have selected Sarfaraz Khan, who has not played a single match, while a player like Cheteshwar Pujara is currently scoring runs in the Ranji Trophy. Apart from this, he has included two spinners in the team. This shows that there will be a spin track in Visakhapatnam, but the question is who will score runs for India on it.”

The lineup is weak batting wise

Harbhajan said, “The team looks good, but lacks experience. Yes, there is Rohit Sharma, but after him the best run scorer is Ashwin. Batting wise, the lineup looks weak and if they play on a turning track, which I think they will, considering they have included Washington Sundar in the squad along with Kuldeep Yadav, Ashwin and Axar Patel. I am afraid that India may lose after the change of pitch for England. This batting unit is young, they need time and if they get them a good track, they can do well.”

A track should be prepared to help young players

Harbhajan Singh said this because India had prepared a spin track for the final of the ODI World Cup 2023, but only the Indian batsmen were facing problems on it. Australia won the final and Travis Head scored a brilliant century. Regarding this, Bhajji said, “If a similar track is built in Visakhapatnam, then we may get stuck like Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.” Harbhajan believes that a good track should be prepared so that the young players can get help.
