Balochistan, the most troubled province of neighboring country Pakistan, is struggling with continuous rains. The death toll due to heavy rains in Balochistan has increased to 22. The Provincial Disaster Management Cell gave this information on Sunday. Due to heavy rain and storm on Saturday, there was sudden flood in many districts of Balochistan province including the capital Quetta. There were floods in many cities. The department said in a statement, ‘The death toll so far due to rain, storm and hail has reached 22. These deaths have occurred in the last 48 hours.

The weather department said heavy rain, storm and hailstorm lashed Quetta valley on Saturday, leaving major roads and streets inundated. “Many houses were also washed away in the flash floods and there was heavy traffic jam in cities and towns and on major highways,” the official said. He said parts of the Quetta-Taftan highway in Noshki district were submerged in flood waters. A big tanker carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Iran also overturned in the traffic jam.

Devastation in China and America too

Devastation due to the storm has also been seen in America and China. There are reports of 83 tornadoes in five states of America. Due to this there was a change in the atmosphere on Saturday also. This storm extended from Texas to the Great Lakes. According to emergency officials in Hughes County, Oklahoma, one death has been confirmed as a result of the storm. A terrible storm has been seen in Guangzhou city of China. This is an industrial area, which is completely dilapidated. Dozens of people have been injured due to the storm. Five people have died. After the storm subsided, the work of removing debris was started again.
