In the application filed in the court today, Hemant Soren said that his uncle Rajaram Soren died on 27 April. He should be allowed to attend the funeral and Shraddha of his uncle. For this he had asked for interim bail of 13 days.

ED arrested Hemant Soren in land scam case
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested by the ED on January 31 in an alleged land scam case. Hemant Soren is currently lodged in Birsa Munda Hotwar Jail of Ranchi. ED had registered a case against Hemant Soren in the case of illegal purchase and sale of 8.5 acres of land in Badgai Anchal. Some other people were also arrested in this case.
