This is the concept of Bharatiya Janata Party i.e. BJP, where a worker is made Panna Pramukh and given the responsibility of contacting the voters.

Actually, here Panna means emerald. BJP has a special strategy to increase the voting percentage and get maximum votes in its favor. Under this, a head is made for one page of the voter list of each area. One page of the electoral roll usually contains the names of 30 voters. It is the responsibility of the page president to contact all the voters included on that page.

They contact voters in person or by phone to inform them about their party’s policies and motivate them to vote more often. They ensure that on the day of polling, a majority of the voters mentioned on the voter list page reach the polling station and exercise their franchise.

Under this special strategy, BJP makes special preparations before the assembly or Lok Sabha elections of any state and tries to make maximum number of Panna Presidents. Be it the UP Assembly elections to be held in 2022 or the current Lok Sabha elections, before all these, BJP had started the Main Hoon Panna Pramukh campaign. This may seem strange to read but actually it is a part of BJP’s strong strategy. During the Gujarat Assembly elections, former BJP national president and Home Minister Amit Shah was also made Panna Pramukh, so that the enthusiasm among the remaining workers could be instilled.
The party understands the mood of the voters through feedback after voting.
BJP also tries to know the mood of the voters through Panna Presidents. This also provides feedback from voters about the party to some extent. If any voter has negative thoughts or misconceptions about the party, then the party leaders try to remove them. For this, regular communication is also held with those voters.
