Mumbai: Bhojpuri film actor and BJP MP from Gorakhpur Ravi Kishan has received relief in a civil case filed in a Mumbai court by a 25-year-old woman who claims that he is her biological father. The court rejected the woman’s petition on Friday. In the petition, the woman has demanded DNA test of Ravi Kishan.

Shinova requested the court to declare herself the actor’s daughter born out of a love affair with Aparna Soni. The stepmother also sought a permanent injunction restraining Kishan from refusing to accept her as her stepdaughter in any way. However, while rejecting the petition, the court said in its order that there is no evidence of relationship between Aparna Soni and Ravi Kishan.

Ravi Kishan’s lawyer Amit Mehta argued that Ravi Kishan has no relation with Aparna Soni. Mehta admitted that Ravi Kishan and Soni were good friends, both worked together in films but never had a relationship.

Shinova’s lawyer Ashok Sarogi argued that Aparna married Rajesh Soni in 1991, but left the house in 1995 after a dispute, after which she fell in love with Ravi Kishan and gave birth to Shinova.

He has also filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR lodged against Ramayan Soni and others in the loan case on the petition of Ravi Kishan’s wife. The case was registered after Kishan declared himself his biological father.

A case was registered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on the complaint of Kishan’s wife Preeti Shukla. Shinova said in the writ petition that even though Shukla and Kishan are residents of Mumbai and nothing happened in Lucknow, still the FIR has been registered there.

According to the petition, Soni and Kishan started a relationship and got married in 1991. Due to personal problems they could not live together. He was born on 19 October 1998 but by then it was known that Kishan was already married. The petition states that keeping this fact in mind, Kishan and Soni decided that their child will call the actor uncle. The woman said in the application that both of them used to take care of themselves from time to time.

The petition alleges that when Jock recently went to congratulate BJP leaders Shinova and Soni for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Kishan misbehaved with him and refused to meet him. Subsequently, he called a press conference to declare Shinova’s rights as Kishore’s daughter, the petition said.
