In today’s busy life, we do not get time to keep our lifestyle healthy. Due to wrong eating habits, a person has to suffer from many diseases. Bad eating habits, inactivity and poor lifestyle cause health problems but do you know that most of the diseases are caused by poor lifestyle. It is linked to many things like obesity, diabetes and most of all laziness.

Wrong eating habits are behind this

Unhealthy diet is the root cause of about 57% of diseases in India. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Nutrition have issued dietary guidelines for Indians, saying that the problem of malnutrition and anemia still persists. The problem of overweight and obesity is increasing due to wrong eating habits. Children are becoming victims of malnutrition. At the same time, many states are also facing the increasing risk of overweight, obesity and diabetes symptoms.

Research has also shown that unhealthy food products high in fat, sugar and salt are now more readily available than healthy food products. Due to heavy advertising and marketing of unhealthy foods, these food products are becoming more popular among children and are also causing diseases in them.

 

The report states that millets should not provide more than 45% of calories in a balanced diet. Up to 15% of calories should come from pulses, beans and meat. The report advises that vegetables, fruits and bulbs make up half of the diet. The second largest portion is cereals and millets, followed by pulses, dry fruits, non-vegetarian food, eggs and milk as well as curd.
