Insomnia can increase heart related problems in people. You may also have to face the problem of blood pressure. Normally blood pressure drops by 10 to 20 percent at night, but this is not the case with insomnia. This increases blood pressure at night. Which is directly related to heart related events.

7 hours of sleep is necessary

He said sleep-deprived individuals are more likely to develop diabetes, high cholesterol and poor eating habits. Therefore, to keep our heart healthy, adequate and good sleep of 7 hours is necessary. Poor sleep and excessive use of digital devices can have both physical and psychological effects. We cannot ignore sleep. Which takes up one third of an average person’s lifetime.

Additionally, lack of sleep is also linked to early-onset dementia. Which affects both short-term and long-term memory, concentration, creativity and problem-solving abilities. It can also aggravate mental health problems like irregular mood swings and anxiety and potentially lead to depression, he told IANS.
