Work from home: Tech giant Globant is setting a new example by making its employees work from home. The company is spread in 33 countries and employs more than 30 thousand employees. The company is giving full time work from home to all the employees. This in itself is a big step because Globant is one of the largest tech comp.es in the world which is providing the facility to its employees to work from home on such a large scale.

Globant’s CEO is Martin Migoya. According to the Buenos Aires Times, Migoya likes to have employees come to work in his office, but not with a gun held to one’s head. Migoya said his employees come to the office to work on their own. He said that he understands the importance of the post very well. For them, the office is the center of engagement. A place to collaborate, not just a place to work. “We’ve seen people come to the office, they’re gathering together, they’re using the office in different ways and we’re also reimagining our offices,” Martin said. So that we can keep pace with the changing times.

After the Corona epidemic, Migoya’s team has redesigned the offices. Individual desks have been replaced with more round tables to seat more people and create more lounge space. The company’s Global CEO Patrika Pomis also believes the same. Recently he expressed his opinion through a post on X. In which Patrica had said that working remotely was not a mistake. Unless people feel a lack of motivation while working from home, it is not necessary to tie up the day with commuting to the office.

Patrica also believes in autonomy, and recommends giving each team the flexibility to work in the way that works best for them, whether that’s from home or the office. Globant’s move doesn’t match Alphabet Inc’s Google, Microsoft Corp and Meta. Because these comp.es have implemented such policies that employees will have to come to the office and work. There is a debate going on in India also on this topic. Zerodha CEO Nitin Kamath had said some time back that the concept of working from home was not resonating with some of his employees. It becomes difficult for people to take decisions because communication barriers arise.
