Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2023: Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2023 is going to be org.zed for the first time in the country. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey and Sports Director Sarojini Lakra signed the agreement on Tuesday. The good thing is that it is being hosted by Ranchi. This is the first time that any international hockey tournament will be played in Ranchi. Hockey India, Hockey Jharkhand and the Government of Jharkhand have jointly announced this. All the matches of the tournament to be held from October 27 to November 5 will be played at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi.

Jharkhand Sports Minister Hafizul Hasan also unveiled the logo of the championship trophy. The minister handed over a check of Rs 10 crore as sponsorship amount to the President of Hockey India. This international tournament is being org.zed since 1985, while India is hosting it for the first time. Hasan said that due to the efforts of CM Hemant Soren, Ranchi has got to host this international tournament for the first time in the country. Let us tell you that four players from Jharkhand will play in the Indian team. The team includes Nikki Pradhan, Salima Tent, Beauty Jungjung and Sangeeta Kumari.

Apart from India, teams from China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea and Thailand will participate in the Champions Trophy, where players from these countries are participating. In which there will be three matches daily. The match will start at 4 pm and the last match will end at 10 pm. The capacity of the stadium is about 7 thousand but in the last HIL, 12 thousand people enjoyed the match sitting together in the stadium. Hockey India Secretary General Bholanath Singh announced during the public inauguration and MoU signing event that there will be free seating for spectators on three sides of the stadium. While entry will be given through the pass made towards the main gate.

What did the President of Hockey India say?
Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said that for the first time Jharkhand has got the opportunity to host the Asian Champions Trophy. It is a matter of pride for all. He specially thanked Chief Minister Hemant Soren for this. Tirkey said that when he was young, he used to hear the name of Jharkhand’s tribal players like Jaipal Singh Munda etc., but after that Jharkhand gave many talented players.
