Weather Update: Heat wave continues across the country, people in many states are suffering from ‘heatwave’. However, there is a respite of one or two days in the capital Delhi.

The latest update from the Indian Meteorological Department said that the national capital will have clear skies and strong winds throughout the day but there is no possibility of rain and heat wave.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi today are expected to be around 38 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively. IMD said that strong winds will continue in Delhi from today for the next four-five days but these winds will provide relief to people from the heat.

Due to active Western Disturbance in the mountains, it is raining there, this will affect Delhi-NCR also and hence there may be light rain here and there in the next three-four days. It is a matter of relief that these days the pollution in the capital is much better than before.

On the other hand, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar have declared ‘heatwave’ alert for the next five days.

There is severe heat in Punjab, Haryana, UP, Bihar, MP, Chhattisgarh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh, hence advisory is in force for the people here also. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Kashmir, while the heat wave continues in Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, here too people are eagerly waiting for the rain.
