In the new year 2024, there are 72 days of Lagan Muhurta in the entire year. During this period, due to the setting of Jupiter and Venus, there will be no auspicious time for marriage on any day in the months of May and June. Similarly, there will be maximum 20 days in the month of February. This year too, there were very few auspicious times for marriage.

Nowadays, many marriages are taking place at auspicious times. Now only seven auspicious days of marriage are left in the month. Due to Dhanu Sankranti i.e. Kharmas, there will be a gap of one month in the auspicious time for marriage from 16th December. Kharmas will end with Makar Sankranti on 15th January. After this the auspicious period of marriage will begin.

Kharmas

There will be Kharmas due to transit in Pisces from 15th March to 16th April. In such a situation, there will be no auspicious time for marriage at this time. Kharmas will end on 16th April, after which the auspicious time for marriage will start from 18th April, but Venus will set from 23rd April.

Pandit Vinod Gautam told that the chances of marriage are formed only after seeing the strength of Jupiter and Venus. While Jupiter gives happiness and increase in children, Venus increases happiness and material comforts in married life, hence if even one of the two planets is inauspicious then marriage does not take place.

Next year, Venus will set on April 23 and rise on June 30. Meanwhile, Jupiter will also set from 6th May and will rise on 2nd June. Due to the setting of these two planets, there will be no Lagan Muhurta in May and June. In such a situation, the auspicious time for marriage will start only after the rise of Venus on June 30.
