Gujarat Flood: A video of Gujarat flood is going viral on social media. In the footage, more than 100 LPG cylinders can be seen floating in flood waters in Gujarat’s Navsari. The flood water had entered an LPG godown where cylinders were kept. The cylinder got washed away due to the rapid flow of water.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Gujarat is already reeling under a flood-like situation and more rain is expected in the next 24 hours. Heavy to very heavy rain would continue over South Gujarat and many other districts of Saurashtra-Kutch region.

Incessant rains continued in several parts of Gujarat on Sunday, leading to a flood-like situation in the affected areas, with Junagadh district being the worst affected by the heavy rains as several vehicles were washed away in rivers.

The NDRF on Sunday rescued three people, including a pregnant woman, who were stranded due to floods in Gujarat’s Mocha village.

“As per information received from Police Inspector Madhavpur, a pregnant woman is trapped due to water-logging in Mocha village, a team of 6th Battalion NDRF launched a rescue operation and rescued three people safely,” NDRF was quoted as saying by ..

In another incident, several people are feared trapped after a two-storey building collapsed in Junagadh on Monday. Search and rescue operation was started after getting information about the incident.

The district received heavy rainfall with 241 mm of rain during the 24 hours ending 6 am on Sunday. As part of the search and rescue operation, around 3,000 residents of Junagadh have reportedly been evacuated to safer places.
