Agra: A man in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra was seen urinating on another man, who was lying unconscious and injured, in a shocking incident similar to the Madhya Pradesh urination case that angered the nation a month ago. A video of the act, purportedly showing a youth urinating and kicking the victim on the head, went viral on social media platforms on Monday. The youth and his friends were also heard abusing the victim. After the video was widely shared, the police swung into action and caught the culprit.
Police said that the video is three to four months old. Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Suraj Kumar Rai said, “One criminal has been arrested and the police is on the lookout for the others.” In a video statement posted on Twitter, Rai said the police took action after the video went viral.
“Police investigated and found that the victim has not lodged any complaint regarding this matter in any police station in Agra. It was later learned that the video was three to four months old and the youth was identified as Aditya,” Rai said.
Aditya has been taken into custody and has been charged under Indian Penal Code section 307 (attempt to murder) and other sections. “Police are also probing other youths present in the video. The arrested youth Aditya will be produced in the court and legal action will be taken,” said Rai.

The accused Pravesh Shukla is a resident of Kubri village. The victim is Dasmat Rawat (36), a resident of Karaundi village in the district.
