Gujarat Titans, who are having a mixed performance in the league, will have to be wary of the aggressive middle order of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL league match to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat team is in seventh place with eight points from nine matches. If Shubman Gill’s team wants to overtake Chennai and Delhi, then RCB will have to be defeated at any cost. Both these teams have eight points each. Gujarat’s fast bowlers need to improve their performance. Gujarat’s fast bowlers have been weak in the league so far. Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Sandeep Warrier have given a lot of runs. Backup fast bowlers like Spencer Johnson and Umarzai are also not bowling with confidence. Apart from spinners Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore, Noor Ahmed has failed to perform as per expectations.

Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green are in form in Bengaluru’s middle order and this has made the job of Gujarat bowlers more difficult. Patidar is performing better against the spinners. He scored brilliant half-centuries in the last two matches against Kolkata’s Sunil Narine and Chakraborty and Markandey (Hyderabad). Green also played an aggressive innings against Hyderabad. Gujarat’s batting has mainly revolved around captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. The mediocre presence of the middle order is costing Gujarat dearly. Big innings will be expected from batsmen like Rahul Tewatia and David Miller. The bowlers of Bengaluru team also need to perform better. RCB can spoil the equation of Gujarat by winning the match.
