BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev, while reacting to the photo that went viral on Thursday of Nirmala Sitharaman attending a private event at Hotel Radisson Blu, said that BJP had nothing to do with the event. It was org.zed by the Chamber of Commerce and Badalta Jharkhand NGO. The entire list of invited guests was prepared with the courtesy of these two org.zations. The list of visitors was also decided by these two org.zations.
Pratul Shahdev said that the picture about which the opposition is creating hue and cry has become a situation of a naughty cat scratching a pillar. Nirmala Sitharaman and Babulal Marandi were having a courtesy meeting with the guests fixed by the Chamber and Badalta Jharkhand.
Pratul said that if anyone thinks that getting a photo clicked with the Finance Minister will reduce his crime, then he is a fool. This is Narendra Modi’s New India. The campaign against corruption will continue. In the current government, it is ridiculous to think that someone can get concessions just because his picture is with someone else. The Supreme Court has also considered PMLA as a crime like terrorism. Pratul said that billions of rupees have been recovered so far from the opposition leaders and their followers in Jharkhand. Frustrated with that, they are busy making a mountain out of a molehill.
