Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand), 10 May (HIST). The doors of Shri Kedarnathdham, situated in the Himalayas, one of the major 12 Jyotirlingas, opened this morning with full rituals and chanting of Vedic mantras. On the auspicious occasion of opening of the doors of the temple, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his wife Geeta Dhami were present for the darshan of Baba Kedarnath.
Earlier this morning, the Chief Minister wrote in this regard on his X handle – “Jai Baba Kedar! Hearty welcome and greetings to all the devotees on Chardham Yatra 2024. All of you are requested to take special care of cleanliness during the journey. Avoid using single use plastic. Special arrangements have been made by our government for the safety of the elderly, women and children coming to Chardham.”
He has written, “Today, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Shri Kedarnathdham, Shri Yamunotridham and Shri Gangotridham will be opened for darshan with full rituals. Hearty welcome and greetings to all the devotees for the Chardham Yatra!” In another X-post last evening he said, “Kedarpuri is ready, Jai Shri Kedar!”
