Tarak Mehta: Actor Gurcharan Singh, who played the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, has been missing for 6 days. Following the father’s complaint, Delhi Police has registered a case of kidnapping and is searching for the 50-year-old actor.
Initial investigation has revealed that the actor was going to get married soon. Not only this, he was also struggling with financial crisis.
Withdrawn seven thousand rupees from the ATM and then the phone got switched off.
Police said that Gurucharan had withdrawn Rs 7,000 from the ATM on April 22, after which his phone got switched off. His last location was found a few kilometers away from his home in Palam, Delhi.
Police are scanning the CCTV around the house
Apart from this, the police have also received some CCTV footage from Palam area in which the actor is seen crossing the road with a bag.
Now the police is also scanning the remaining CCTV cameras installed around his house to find out which route he had taken to reach Delhi Airport.
AICWA appealed
Meanwhile, All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) President and Founder Suresh Shyamlal Gupta has appealed to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Gupta made this appeal by sharing a video on social media and said that the entire Bollywood and Indian film industry stands with Gurucharan’s family.
No information after 22nd April
Actor Gurcharan Singh left for Mumbai from Delhi on 22 April, after which there is no news about him.
In this case, Gurucharan’s father Hargeet Singh had lodged a missing complaint at Palam police station in Delhi on April 25 at 3 pm.
Left the show after dispute with producer
Gurucharan Singh was a part of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ from the beginning till 2013. Later he left the show due to some dispute with producer Asit Modi.
However, by then he had become so popular that on public demand the producers had to bring him back in the show. After his return, he did this show for 6 years.
Was living with parents in Delhi since lockdown
Then during the lockdown in 2020, he left the show again to take care of his father. After staying away from acting, Gurucharan lives in Delhi with his parents.
