School Summer Holidays: Heat has started showing its severe form in many states across the country. In view of the heat and heat wave, summer holidays have been declared in all private and government schools of Puducherry. According to the School Education Department, all government and private schools in Puducherry will remain closed from April 29 to June 5. All schools will reopen from June 6.

UP school timings changed from Monday
Under the order, from April 29, the timings of all government and private schools of UP have been changed from 07:30 am to 1 pm. Timings of madrassas have also been changed. Now it will open from 07:00 am to 12:30 noon. Till further orders, schools will operate from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. On April 27, leave has been approved for those teachers, officers and employees who were on election duty, all other teachers and employees will have to work in the school. BLO will also remain on leave.
School timings changed in Darbhanga also
The timings of government and private schools running in Darbhanga, Bihar have also been changed. DM Rajeev Roshan has issued an order in this regard. Under this, teaching and learning will be conducted in government schools from 8 am to 10 am as per pre-determined departmental instructions. Whereas mid-day meal will be served between 10 am and 10:30 am. Private schools will operate only till 11 am.
Holiday declared in AMU also
Summer vacation has also been announced in Aligarh Muslim University. Under this, there will be summer holidays from June 16 to July 30 in AMU and its related institutions and Malappuram, Murshidabad and Kishanganj centres. There will be summer vacations in the Faculty of Medicine in AMU related schools from June 16 to July 15. From May 18 to June 23 and June 25. From June 14 to July 31, MBBS students will have holiday from June 14 to June 23.
Holiday from June 1 to June 20 for BDS first year, second year and third year students, holiday from June 21 to June 30 for BDS final year students, holiday from June 21 to July 10 for paramedical courses students, The holidays in nursing colleges will be from June 27 to July 6, the first slot in the Faculty of Un. Medicine will be open from June 3 to July 6 and July 8 to August 9 and the students’ holidays will be from June 3 to June 20.
