Jaipur, May 9 (HS). On Thursday, a comprehensive inspection and awareness campaign was conducted by the Medical and Health Department to strengthen health services across the state. Under this campaign, conducted under the direction of Shubhra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Department, about 250 teams of Medical Department officials simultaneously inspected about 500 medical institutions and Anganwadi centers across the state.
Under the campaign, the condition of the building of the medical institute, cleanliness, maternity planning day, pre-natal health check-up of pregnant women, vaccination and achievements of the medical institute regarding maternal and child health etc. were seen. According to the report prepared on the basis of all these points, an action plan to further improve the facilities will be prepared. During the inspection, the preparedness of medical institutions to deal with seasonal diseases and heat wave and heat stroke was also observed.
Additional Chief Secretary Shubhra Singh inspected the Sub District Hospital located at Chaksu in Jaipur district. Director RCH Dr. Sunit Singh Ranaut was also present with him. Singh inspected the health services being provided in OPD and IPD here. He visited all the rooms of the hospital including Labor Room, General Ward, Post Operative Ward, Emergency Unit, Trauma Centre, Pediatric Semi ICU and saw the condition of health services. He also observed the cleanliness condition of the toilets and directed that QR code system should be implemented to further improve the cleanliness system.
Blood bank will start soon
Singh also checked the attendance register and duty roster register. He instructed to complete the necessary action and start the blood bank of the hospital within a month. Also directed to ensure proper utilization of RMRS funds for works and services of essential nature in the hospital. He also stressed on org.zing its regular meetings. The Additional Chief Secretary took stock of the preparations made in the hospital for the prevention and treatment of heat stroke and heat-related diseases. He saw the model ward prepared for the treatment of patients suffering from heat stroke and appreciated the management made for the treatment of heat-borne diseases.
Communicated feedback with patients
During the inspection, Singh talked to Pooja Saini, Sanjana Yadav and Chanda Bairwa admitted in the post-operative ward. He asked all three about the quality of health services provided in the hospital. Also got information about vaccination and pre-natal check-ups. Female patients said that all health services are available to them free and easily in the hospital. He also interacted with other patients and took feedback regarding health services.
Focus will be on access and quality of services
During this conversation with the media, the Additional Chief Secretary said that now going beyond the facility level, special focus is being placed on the accessibility and quality of services. The management team is standing shoulder to shoulder with the health workers who are working at the grassroots level. He said that all necessary corrective steps will be taken to remove the deficiencies found during inspection. Officers working at the district and block level should improve monitoring and supervision. He said that 39 indices have been determined in 27 promising blocks selected by the Central Government. Out of these 39 indices, 7 indices are related to health. These indices are being further improved through regular monitoring and supervision.
Mission Director of NHM inspected in Govindpura and Jahota
Mission Director of National Health Mission, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni inspected Anganwadi Center Govindpura and Ayushman Arogya Mandir Jahota in Jaipur. Besides, feedback was also taken from the pregnant and lactating women who came to avail maternal health services under the Safe Motherhood Day campaign. Additional Mission Director NHM Arun Kumar Garg inspected the Community Health Center Renwal Manji and gave necessary guidelines. Director Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur inspected the Community Health Center and Primary Health Center Vatika.
State level teams inspected hopeful blocks of 27 districts
Under the campaign, state level teams from the hopeful blocks of 27 districts Chhota Dungra of Banswara, Kishanganj of Baran, Ramsar of Barmer, Bhusawar of Bharatpur, Kolayat of Bikaner, Kapren of Bundi, Nimbahera of Chittorgarh, Rajgarh of Churu, Ramgarh-Pachwara of Dausa. Inspection was conducted in Baseri of Dholpur, Jothari of Dungarpur and Gangarpur City. Similarly, Sangriya of Hanuman, Fatehgarh of Jaisalmer, Ahor of Jalore, Khanpur of Jhalawar, Shergarh of Jodhpur Rural, Masalpur of Karauli, Shahjahanpur of Kotputli, Jayal of Nagaur, Pali, Pipalkhunt of Pratapgarh, Bhim of Rajsamand, Kotri of Shahpur, Sirahi. Inspection was conducted in Abu Road, Piplu of Tonk and Kherwada of Udaipur. In the remaining districts also, teams formed at the level of Chief Medical and Health Officer will inspect and report will be sent to the state level.
