Sonipat, 29 April (HS). The three-day Haryana State Power Lifting Competition was concluded by Metal Health Club and District Sonipat Power Lifting Association. The winners were honored in the auditorium of Bhagwan Mahavir Institute of Engineering, Fazilpur on Monday.
Former media advisor to the Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Rajiv Jain honored the winning players by wearing medals. He said that there is a saying regarding sports that if you study and write, you will become a Nawab and if you play and jump, you will become strong. Sub-Junior, Junior, Senior, Master competitions of different age and weight categories were held and the winners were awarded prizes. This is for encouragement.
More than 800 boys and girls participated in this three-day competition. Sonipat Kaitlin won the first prize in the championship. In Men’s Masters 97 kg, Rajkumar Sardana won the gold medal by lifting 135 kg, Ravindra Bhiw. in 53 kg weight category, Nitish Sonipat in 59 kg weight category, Vansh Kapoor Jhajjar in 66 kg weight category, Govish in 74 kg weight category. Jhajjar, Vikas Sirsa in 83 kg weight category, Dushyant Jhajjar in 93 kg weight category, Lakshya Hisar in 105 kg weight category, Mausam Sonipat stood first in 120 kg weight category. Coaches and players of all categories including Neeraj Antil, Rajkumar Sardana, Deepak Antil were present.
