Sonipat, 29 April (HS). Dr. Raj Singh, a senior official of the Government of India and chief advisor of Nirmohi Akhara, said that living examples of sculpture are found in the Indus Valley Civilization. The monasteries and temples of India have worked to preserve and beautify this ancient sculpture. He was giving information after offering prayers for the installation of the idol of Hanuman ji at Nirmohi Akhara located in village Khanda on Monday.

He told that the carvings of the temples of Kanchipuram, Madurai, Srirangam, Rameshwaram in South India and Varanasi in North India are better examples of that excellent art. On one side of the monastery, very beautiful murals of South Indian style have been made, while on the other side, vibrant idols carved from marble from Rajasthan are installed in the temple. World famous for its marble sculptures, crafted by renowned sculptor Rajesh Vaishnav of Jaipur. Feelings of reverence and devotion are awakened at the first sight of the idols of Lord Radha Krishna, Lakshmi Narayan, Ganesh ji and Hanuman ji.

The sculptures carved by Rajesh Vaishnav from Vietnamese marble according to the Vedic religion are the best presentation of the sculpture art of the founders of Vaishnav religion, Swami Ramanandacharya, Swami Nimbarkacharya, Swami Madhvacharya and Acharya Vishnu Swami. Highlighted by Sadhvi Kamal Vaishnava, the pastimes of Lord Krishna, various forms of Lord Vishnu and the worship of Lord Shiva by Sri Rama at Rameshwaram are depicted by the murals in South Indian style. The idols of Lord Radha Krishna and Lakshmi Narayan in the temple are made of Kishangarh style of marble sculpture art of North India.
