These days Vidya Balan is in the news for the film Do Aur Do Pyaar. She is seen with Prateek Gandhi in this romantic drama film. The film is releasing on 19th April. During an interview, Vidya shared an anecdote from her 2011 film ‘Dirty Picture’. Actually, Vidya was asked to smoke cigarettes in this film. She didn’t smoke, but she knew how to smoke. During the shooting of the film, he smoked so many cigarettes that he became addicted to cigarettes. Vidya had said in an interview that initially she was hesitant to smoke cigarettes onscreen. But later he got addicted to it. Vidya used to smoke before, so she knew how to smoke. But he did not have the habit of smoking cigarettes. That said, as a character you can’t fake it.
I could not show any hesitation because there is a certain perception about women who smoke. Now it is quite less, but earlier it was quite high when Vidya was asked whether she still smokes cigarettes? On this he said that I do not think it is appropriate to talk about this in front of the camera. But if someone tells me that there is no harm in cigarettes then I will definitely start smoking. I love the smell of cigarettes. During my college days, I used to go and stand near people smoking cigarettes. Vidya said that she had some hesitation in wearing short and cleavage-showing clothes in the film. But this film gave him a feeling of liberation. She said, when I thought of becoming an actress, I had not even thought of such a thing. But when she got such a character, she became excited. When I was called sexy in this film, I realized that it had nothing to do with size. In this way this film liberated me. Because I was always worried about my body shape.
