Arvind Kejriwal bail plea: The petition of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, arrested in the Delhi liquor scam, is being heard in the Supreme Court today. In which Kejriwal has challenged the arrest in the court. The case is being heard by a bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta.

Regarding this investigation, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, on behalf of ED, said that when we started the investigation, our investigation was not directly against Kejriwal, hence not a single question related to him was asked in the beginning. But during the investigation his role was revealed.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, while hearing Kejriwal’s interim bail petition, has asked many questions to the ED. In which the court asked why Kejriwal was arrested before the elections? What is connected with Kejriwal case? Why is it taking so much time between prosecution and arrest in the case?

Court raised questions on ED’s investigation

ASG Swir Raju said that Rs 1100 crore has been attached after the bail application of M.sh Sisodia was rejected. On that the court asked how Rs 1100 crore was made in two years? You had earlier said that it is a matter of Rs 100 crore. On this, Additional Solicitor General SV Raju said that this has happened because of the benefits of the liquor policy. On this, Justice Khanna said that how did the entire income become the proceeds of crime?

The Supreme Court also asked the ED for the file before the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal and said that the investigation has been going on for two years. It is not appropriate for any investigating agency to continue the investigation like this for two years.

Further SV Raju said that we have found that a part of the expenses of Arvind Kejriwal’s stay in a 7-star hotel during the Goa elections was paid by a person who took cash from liquor comp.es. There is not a single thing in the statement of any accused or witness that acquits Kejriwal.

This is an extraordinary situation: Supreme Court

Justice Khanna said that elections are still going on. This is an extraordinary situation. He is the Chief Minister of Delhi. There is no case against him. Expressing opposition to his statement, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that this cannot happen with just one CM. Do we make exceptions for leaders? Is it more important to campaign for elections?

Justice Khanna said that this is a different matter. Elections are held once in five years. Against this, SG Tushar Mehta said that he is postponing the summons for six months. If he had cooperated earlier, perhaps he would not have been arrested.

What is the matter?

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21 in the alleged Delhi liquor scam. Earlier, ED had issued 9 summons to him for questioning in the case. However, Kejriwal did not appear before any summons.

The Central Investigation Agency has alleged that he himself has perpetrated this scam and is directly involved in demanding bribe from liquor dealers.
