Rudraprayag, 09 May (HS). Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj has reached Kedarnath Dham on the first day of his four-day religious pilgrimage to Badri Kedar. On reaching here, he was welcomed and felicitated by the pilgrim priests of Kedarsabha and Mukundanand Brahmachari, in-charge of Jyotirmath. Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj will be present on the occasion of opening of doors of Kedarnath temple. After having darshan of Lord Kedarnath, he will leave for Jyotirmath.
Jyotirmath’s media in-charge Dr. Brijesh Sati said in a statement that Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj of Jyotish Peeth reached Kedarnath Dham on Thursday as per the schedule in the first phase of his religious journey to Badrinath and Kedarnath, the two major shrines of Uttarakhand. On reaching here, he was given a grand welcome by the people associated with Kedarsabha and Jyotirmath. Media in-charge said that Shankaracharya will be present on the occasion of opening the doors of Kedarnath temple. After worshiping Lord Kedarnath, we will leave for Jyotirmath. He told that on May 11, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj will reach Badrinath Dham. Where he will be present on the occasion of opening of the doors of the temple the next day.
