Rajasthan Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting was held for the second time on Wednesday at Dudhwa Khurd booth of Chauhtan assembly constituency of Barmer Lok Sabha constituency of Rajasthan. Amidst the scorching heat, tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the voters. More than 85 percent voters voted. There were allegations of fake voting at this booth. Some of his videos also surfaced, which went viral on social media.

85.70 percent voting

Voters were also disenfranchised on social media. In such a situation, after complaints of violation of voting secrecy, the Election Commission ordered re-polling. Officials said that during the second round of voting, a total of 85.70 percent voting was recorded in Dudhwa Khurd.

4 members of polling team suspended

In the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting was held in Dudhwa Khurd village on 26 April. Re-polling was ordered due to fraudulent voting and disenfranchisement of voters. In this case, Barmer District Election Officer has suspended four members of the polling team. These members had voted at the booth on 26 April.

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that the second phase of voting was held from 7 am to 5 pm at the Government Higher Secondary School, polling station number 50 Dudhwa Khurd booth of Chauhtan assembly constituency. There are 1,294 eligible voters and 1,109 cast their votes. He said that as per the orders of the Election Commission, the department has made all preparations for the second voting and webcasting has also been done.

Earlier, the second voting was held on May 2 at a polling station in Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency. There are 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan. In the first phase, voting was held on 12 seats on 19 April and in the second phase on 26 April, voting was held on 13 seats.
