The 56th match in IPL 2024 was played between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. Sanju Samson is in the news a lot after this match. Actually, Sanju’s wicket during the match was very shocking. Samson himself had expressed his displeasure over this. After which Sanju was seen arguing with the field umpire. Sanju Samson has now been punished by BCCI. BCCI has imposed a fine of 30 percent of the match fee on Sanju Samson.

BCCI issued a statement

While punishing Sanju, BCCI issued a statement saying that Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson had violated the IPL code of conduct during the match against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Due to which Sanju has been fined 30 percent of the match fee. Sanju has violated Section 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct. Sanju has also confessed his crime. The decision of the match referee in this matter is final.

 

Sanju argued after getting out

Actually, there was a lot of controversy in this match regarding the wicket of Sanju Samson. Because of this, fans on social media have raised questions on the decision of the third umpire. During the match, when Mukesh Kumar was bowling the 16th over for Delhi, Sanju was out in the same over. Sanju was caught by Shai Hope at long on, due to which the fans thought that Hope’s foot had touched the boundary, but the third umpire declared it out instead of not out. After which Sanju Samson had a slight argument with the field umpire. Now the Captain will have to bear the consequences.
