Bonuses for government employees have been announced ahead of the budget announcements for 2023-24 in the budgets of both these states. Apart from this, many welfare schemes have been implemented. The Chhattisgarh government has announced a hike in the salary and pension and allowances of the employees. At the same time, the Rajasthan government has announced an increase in pension.

Chhattisgarh government increased DA again

On the second day of the monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced several measures ranging from reduction in allowances for government employees. Bhupesh Baghel announced several measures worth Rs 2,000 crore. Along with this, he also announced a 4 percent increase in pension. This is the second hike in a month. Earlier, a 5 percent increase was made in the cabinet meeting. Now five lakh employees of this state will get broken allowance equal to the central government employees.

Salary of contract employees has also been increased

Meanwhile, the maximum financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme has been increased from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Rajasthan government increased pension

The Rajasthan government introduced the Rajasthan Minimum Guaranteed Income Bill 2023 in the assembly earlier this week. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot introduced a bill under which even after completing 100 days of work, they can work for another 25 days under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. If the state government is unable to provide employment, unemployment allowance will be compulsorily given.

In addition, every person belonging to old age, disabled, widow, single women pension category is entitled to social security pension in two installments at the base rate of 15 per cent per annum i.e. 5 per cent in July.
