After 4 successful films of Housefull franchise, now preparations for its fifth film ‘Housefull-5’ have started. Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh were cast in this film, after which now Abhishek Bachchan has also come in it. Recently, the film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala has made an official announcement regarding the casting of Abhishek Bachchan. While sharing Abhishek’s picture, he wrote, ‘We are very happy to tell that now Abhishek Bachchan is once again a part of the Housefull family. We are very happy to have them. The shooting of the film ‘Housefull 5’ is going to start in the United Kingdom from August. On joining the film, Abhishek Bachchan told Filmfare, ‘Housefull is one of my favorite comedy franchises and joining it is like returning home.
It is a great experience to be associated with Sajid Nadiadwala. I am looking forward to having fun on the sets with Akshay Kumar and Riteish. I am also excited to work with my close friend Tarun Mansukh. for the second time. Tarun is directing Mansukha’s film ‘Housefull-5’. Before this he had directed Abhishek Bachchan’s film ‘Dostana’. The film ‘Housefull 5’ is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala ‘Grandson Entertainment’. This film is scheduled to release on 6 June 2025. So far 4 successful films of ‘Housefull franchise’ have been released. This franchise has grossed Rs.500 worldwide. Have earned Rs. 800 crore, making it India’s highest-grossing comedy film franchise. It is also the 7th highest-grossing franchise film in India.
