Preparations for the inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya are going on in full swing. On the occasion of the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ram Lalla on 22 January, pujas and bhajan kirtans are being org.zed across the country from Tuesday i.e. today. Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said on Monday that the idol to be installed on January 18 will be installed on its pedestal in the sanctum sanctorum. Puja rituals have been started from Tuesday. Temples and people across the country are performing rituals like singing Ram Bhajan and singing beautiful songs in their homes from today. Before the consecration of Ram temple, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will recite Sunderkand today. Sunderkand will be recited in all 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi on Tuesday. Congress President and Sonia Gandhi will not go to Ayodhya on January 22, but amidst all this, many Congress leaders took a dip in the Saryu river on Monday. Under the leadership of UP Congress President Ajay Rai, many leaders staged a protest in Saryu and said that we are devotees of Ram. We oppose giving political color to the consecration ceremony of the temple.
On the occasion of her birthday on January 15, BSP President Mayawati said in a press conference that her party welcomes the programs of Ram Temple. If there is any program regarding Babri Masjid in future, we will welcome it also. He said that he was not invited to participate in the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Even Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has not been invited yet, but he is org.zing many religious activities including Sunderkand recitation in Delhi.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has received an invitation to participate in the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha. But he said that he will attend the program on January 22. In a post on X, he said that he was grateful for the invitation but he would go for Ramla darshan with his entire family any day after January 22. Congress leaders have also refused to participate in the Pran Pratishtha program.
