Bhopal, 11 January (HS). The Swachh Survekshan award distribution ceremony will be held today (Thursday) at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in New Delhi in the presence of President Draupadi Murmu. At the ceremony, President Murmu will reward six cities of Madhya Pradesh, including Indore-Bhopal, for their excellent performance in the Swachh Survekshan. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Urban and Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister of State Pratima Bagri will attend the ceremony. This information was given by Public Relations Officer Mukesh Modi.

He said that in the award distribution ceremony, Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department Neeraj Mandloi, Urban Development Commissioner Bharat Yadav, Mission Director Shivam Verma along with public representatives of award winning urban bodies and officials of local bodies will also be present.

It is noteworthy that Indore city has received the first prize as the cleanest city in the country for six consecutive times. This time also Indore is likely to get the first prize. If this happens, Indore will achieve the distinction of being the cleanest city in the country for the seventh consecutive time. Apart from Indore, other five cities of Madhya Pradesh – Bhopal, Mahukent, Amarkantak, Naurojabad and Budhni will be rewarded in the Swachh Survekshan at the national level. The President will reward six cities of Madhya Pradesh including Daur-Bhopal today.
