Statements of other polling agents have been sought and show cause notices have been sent to polling officials.
According to the report, in the video which is going viral on social media, Abdul Sahid, the polling agent of independent candidate Abdul Hamid, is seen. He is seen pressing the EVM button 5 times continuously for BJP candidate and sitting MP Kripanath Mallah. According to the statement issued by the DEO office, we have received a complaint regarding the viral video. After which the matter was brought before the General Observer and a polling team was called. Regarding the matter, the presiding officer of the polling station said that the video has been recorded during the mock poll. Votes cast before the start of this voting were discarded. The statement said that polling agent Abdul Sahid himself has confirmed this.

81.17 percent voting in the second phase in Assam

In the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, 81.17 percent voting has been recorded on 5 seats of Assam. Election officials gave this information on Saturday. He said that on Friday the highest turnout of 84.97 percent took place in Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency. After this, 82.01 percent voting took place in Darrang-Udalguri, 80.48 percent in Karimganj, 79.05 percent in Silchar (Scheduled Caste) and 75.74 percent in Diphu. 61 candidates have tried their luck in this phase of elections. Under the first phase of voting held on April 19, 78.25 percent voting was recorded in Kaziranga, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur and Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituencies of the state.
