Hooghly, 24 July (Hindustan Times). Lakhs of devotees performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva on the third Monday of Sawan at Tarakeshwar temple in Hooghly district. During this, the Hooghly district administration had made elaborate security arrangements. Hooghly District Rural Police Singur police station in-charge Jayant Pal, Haripal police station in-charge Kaushik Sarkar, Tarakeshwar police station in-charge .l Raj were patrolling with the police force. About two lakh pilgrims performed Jalabhishek in the temple of Baba Bhole Nath on the third Monday. From the road to the temple echoed with the slogans of Bam Bhole, Har Har Mahadev, Bhole Baba Paar Karega. Along with the administration, many social org.zations were also ready to serve the Kanwariyas.

Hooghly District Rural Superintendent of Police Amandeep Singh said that on the third Monday, a crowd of pilgrims has gathered from the road to the temple premises. A large number of police forces are deployed for the security and service of the Kavadis. About two lakh devotees performed Jalabhishek. Security has been arranged at Tarakeshwar station by the Railways. A request is being made not to cross the railway track by miking towards the railway at the station.
