Bhadohi, 08 May (HS). There is noise in the election atmosphere of Bhadohi. Long live Gaganbhedi in the rallies of political parties. There is poor, there is rich, there is caste, there is religion, there is reservation, there is dream of development. But enough! There are only false oaths and promises, the land of issues is empty. There is a pain among the people regarding development, there is resentment against the leaders. The public is now deciding for itself where and with whom it should stand. When the demands of railway crossing were not fulfilled in the 75 years of independence, the public lost their confidence and the people of the village decided not to participate in the biggest festival of democracy.

Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh is famous in the world for its beautiful carpets. Carpets worth thousands of crores are exported from here. But the development here is poor and the land is empty of issues. Leaders are seen in villages and streets only during elections and after victory they turn away from the grassroots issues of the people. On Wednesday, the villagers took out a rally in the entire village and colony and raised the slogan ‘No gate, no vote’.

The railway level crossing in Saraikansarai village, located about 25 km north-west of Bhadohi district headquarters, could not be constructed. The responsible people of the village met the MP and the Railway Minister several times and expressed their problems, but when no solution was found, they had to take the decision of ‘vote if there is no rail gate’. It is the ground reality that the people of the village are suffering a lot due to lack of railway crossing. A large population of the village will not vote on May 25. Voting will be held in the seventh phase in Purvanchal.

what is the problem

Saraikansarai village of Bhadohi district is a border area. This is the last village on the border of Jaunpur and Bhadohi. It is a village with a large population. It is situated between Suriawan-Saraikansarai railway station of Varanasi-Lucknow railway section. The railway line passes through the middle of the village, due to which the population of the village is divided into two sections. During the rainy season, when the water in Varuna river increases, the village gets cut off from Jaunpur, because there is no bridge on the river. On the other hand it is a rail problem. Earlier, when there was a single railway line, the people of the village used to cross the track taking risk, but now due to it being double, this problem has become worse.

What is the problem of the village?

The students of the village have to travel a distance of 10 km to go to Durgaganj, Suriyawan and district headquarters Gyanpur, Bhadohi for higher education. Because of which, while there is difficulty in studies, life is also unsafe. In case of emergency, people are not able to reach the hospital due to lack of railway crossing. The farming of the village has been divided into two parts, due to which there is difficulty in ploughing-sowing. There is a huge problem for the cattle. Many accidents have occurred due to lack of railway crossings. On the other hand, as the distance from other routes increases, the villagers also have to pay more fare for vehicles.

What did the village head say?

Nandlal Mishra, the village head of Saraikansarai village, said that our village has been facing this problem for 75 years. You can know how worried the village people are right there. We informed Railway Minister Manoj Sinha, Bhadohi MP Ramesh Bind, former MP Virendra Singh Mast and railway officials in writing about this problem and also told about our personal problem, but no attention was paid to our demand. Even the previous central and state governments did not listen to our problems. On the demand of the villagers, a public meeting of the villagers was held at Gomateshwar Temple on Tuesday night with consensus in which a decision had to be taken not to vote. This time we will not believe in false promises. The people of the village are united, our problem has not been solved, hence the demand of ‘No rail gate, no vote’ is justified, we are with the village.
