A passenger sitting in an Indigo airline plane is seen beating the pilot while making a late announcement. This incident is raising questions on the safety of the crew members.
According to reports, a replacement pilot replaced the previous crew after a delay of several hours due to Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules. However, he came in front of the passengers and told them that the flight was delayed due to some reason. Just then, a man wearing a yellow hoodie suddenly came running and attacked the pilot and beat him. Other crew members present in time stopped the passenger. A video of this fight has gone viral on social media.
FDTL, or Flight Duty Time Limits, are important regulations to ensure the well-being of pilots and flight attendants by mandating adequate rest periods and reducing fatigue-related safety concerns. The responsibility of setting up FDTL falls under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). It is not yet known in which plane the incident took place.
