In a statement issued here, Parambans Singh Romana said that it is very surprising that the Punjab government has written in the Supreme Court that it will not take action against Sukhpal Khaira in the 2015 drug smuggling case. Romana asked the Chief Minister why he was defending the drug smuggler in the Supreme Court. He said this is being done when the charge sheet filed against Khaira states that he called drug smuggler Gurdev Singh 78 times and spent Rs 6.50 crore more than his income.
Romana emphasized that all this is possible only when India is a partner in the alliance. He said that Shri Bhagwant Mann himself has sung the praises of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and also praised the Congressmen with whom he recently shared the stage in Delhi. He said that the truth is that AAP has formed an alliance with Congress in Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.
