In a letter to Congress general secretary KC Venugopal, Sucharita said, “Our campaign in the entire parliamentary constituency has been badly affected as the party has refused to give me funds. When I told this to Odisha Congress in-charge Dr. Jab Ajoy Kumar, he clearly said that you yourself should handle it.
I gave everything I had in my campaign in Puri
Sucharita further said, I was a salaried professional journalist. I came into electoral politics 10 years ago. I have given my all in my campaign in Puri. I also ran a public donation campaign for progressive politics but did not achieve much success. I also tried to reduce estimated campaign costs. Nothing happened after this.
I couldn’t collect the money, knocked on all the doors of the party
Congress candidate Sucharita said that I could not collect the money myself, so I knocked on all the doors of you and the central leadership of our party and requested them to provide the necessary funds for the election campaign on the entire parliamentary seat.
