Begusarai, 13 January (HS). Rajeev Khanna, Project Head, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Barauni has said that NTPC Group is lighting the nation with an installed capacity of 74 GW. A target has been set to achieve 130 GW by 2032. In which there will be 60 gigawatt renewable energy.

In the press conference held today at NTPC Barauni, Rajeev Khanna said that many steps are being taken by NTPC Barauni towards environmental protection. By promoting renewable energy, solar panels will be installed to generate 900 kilowatts of electricity. 75 thousand saplings have been planted under Jal Jeevan Hariyali.

NTPC Barauni is continuously working towards community development and environmental protection along with power generation. This unit was transferred by Bihar Government on 15 December 2018. After that NTPC is continuously producing better power.

Along with power generation, it is also doing work related to social activities. General Manager (Operations and Maintenance) Sameer Sharma, General Manager (Maintenance) Surjit Ghosh, General Manager (Fuel Management) Subir Saha and Additional General Manager (Human Resources) Saroj Kumar and other officers were present in the press conference.
