Bhopal, 10 January (HS). The two-day enlightenment program of the newly elected members of the 16th Assembly, org.zed under the joint aegis of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha (Pride), concluded on Wednesday evening. Addressing the concluding session, Speaker of Madhya Pradesh Assembly Narendra Singh Tomar said that in the assembly session starting from February 7, priority will be given to the members elected for the first time to speak in the House. He said that we should make efforts to ensure that every member gets an opportunity to speak in the House.

Tomar said that there is a provision to speak on written information during Zero Hour, but in the upcoming session it will also be decided that members will be able to express their views on important current events during Zero Hour. During this, he also explained the role of Lok Sabha and Assembly Secretariat in the success of the program.

Assembly Speaker Tomar said that this time 69 MLAs have been elected for the first time. The experience of this two-day enlightenment should be taken from them by sending them a letter. He also said that if another orientation program for new MLAs is felt necessary, then consideration should be given in that direction.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also addressed the concluding session. On this occasion, MP and Chairman Privilege Committee Sunil Singh, former Assembly Speaker Dr. Sitasharan Sharma, Principal Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Assembly Secretariat AP Singh, members of the Assembly, officials and journalists were present.

It is noteworthy that the two-day enlightenment program was inaugurated on Tuesday in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Satish Mahana, Chairman of the Joint Committee on Offices of Profit in Lok Sabha Dr. Satyapal Singh, Lok Sabha General Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, former Assembly Speaker Dr. Sitasaran Sharma, former Rajya Sabha member Suresh Pachauri, former Assembly Speaker Dr. in the enlightenment program. Rajendra Singh, Jharkhand MP and Chairman Privilege Committee, Sunil Singh etc. gave informative lectures to the newly elected members of the Assembly on various topics related to parliamentary procedure and running of the House.
