New Namo Bharat Train: Namo Bharat train may soon start operating for passengers from Sahibabad to Meerut South station. National Capital Region Transport Corporation has started preparations for this. Soon the team of Commissioner Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) may come to inspect the operation of NaMo Bharat train between Modinagar North and Meerut South.
After getting the safety clearance from CMRS, the train will start operating for the passengers, while this will make the journey from Meerut to Ghaziabad easier for thousands of people, on the other hand, the number of vehicles on Meerut Road will also reduce.
Country’s first Namo Bharat train
The country’s first NaMo Bharat train will operate from Sahibabad to Duhai depot, 17 km from Ghaziabad, in October 2023. Was started between long routes. The NaMo Bharat train was launched on a distance of 34 km between Sahibabad and Modinagar North in the month of March, just five months after the train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Started for long route passengers.
12-13 thousand passengers are traveling daily
At present, more than 12-13 thousand passengers are traveling daily in Namo Bharat train between Sahibabad and Modinagar North. With the commencement of train operations for passengers till Meerut South, more than 15 thousand passengers will be able to travel every day.
Better facilities, relief from traffic jams
Due to non-operation of Namo Bharat train till Meerut, working people coming from Meerut to Ghaziabad and Delhi have to face problems daily. Most of these people travel in private vehicles and buses. They have to face the problem of jam on Meerut road. After the commencement of operation of Namo Bharat train, passengers will get better facilities. They will get relief from the problem of traffic jam and will be able to travel from Meerut to Ghaziabad and Sahibabad in less time.
construction work has been completed
The construction of viaduct and laying of track on it to run Namo Bharat train between Modinagar North and Meerut South stations has been completed. The construction work of Meerut South Station is also almost completed. At present, work is being done to repair the signal system for Namo Bharat train between Modinagar North and Meerut South, which can be completed by the end of this month.
Namo Bharat train will run till Modinagar again from today
Due to system upgradation, Namo Bharat train was run only between Sahibabad and Duhai depot on Sunday. Train services remained closed from Duhai depot onwards till Muradnagar and Modinagar. System upgrade work has been completed. From Monday, train services from Sahibabad to Modinagar North will remain smooth as before.
Preparations to run Namo Bharat train up to Meerut South are going on at a fast pace. Necessary process to obtain permission from CMRS has also been started. After getting the permission, the train will start operating for passengers till Meerut. -Puneet Vats, Chief Public Relations Officer.
