Maruti Sales: Maruti Suzuki has a large order book till May 2024. The automaker currently has an open order book of around 1.75 lakh units. 60,000 open bookings made for Maruti Ertiga in May 2024. Maruti’s total order book is 1.75 lakh bookings. Ertiga, Brezza, Dezire and WagonR have the highest numbers. Let us now take a closer look at the model-wise breakup.
Maruti Ertiga has 60,000 pending orders
Maruti Ertiga alone had 60,000 orders pending till May 2024. It is followed by Brezza and Dezire, whose order book stands at 20,000 units and 17,000 units respectively. At the same time, there are 11,000 open bookings for WagonR.
Maruti increased production
The pending order book in particular has seen a significant decline as Maruti ramped up production last month. The company has increased the production capacity of the Manesar plant by one lakh units per year. Now it can produce 9 lakh vehicles per year.
Maruti Suzuki sales in April 2024
Maruti has shared its sales report for April 2024. The company’s total sales increased by 4.7 percent to 1,68,089 units in April 2024. Maruti said in a statement that the company had shipped a total of 1,60,529 units to its dealers in the same month last year. According to the report, total domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 1,37,952 units, as against 1,37,320 units in the year-ago period.
