Ranchi, May 9 (HS). After withdrawal of nominations for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, there are now 93 candidates left in four parliamentary constituencies. This information was given by Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora.
In a press conference today at Nirvachan Sadan Dhurva, Dr. Neha Arora said that two people withdrew their names from Giridih parliamentary constituency on Thursday. In this way, now 16 candidates are left in the election fray. No one has withdrawn his nomination from Dhanbad parliamentary constituency. A total of 25 candidates are in the election fray from here. No candidate has withdrawn his nomination from Ranchi parliamentary constituency either. A total of 27 candidates are in the fray from here. 1 candidate has withdrawn his name from Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency. Now 25 candidates are in the fray.
He said that even on the third day of nomination in the seventh phase of elections, not a single candidate from Dumka (reserved for Scheduled Tribe) parliamentary constituency has filed his nomination. So far, three people have filed nomination papers from Rajmahal (reserved for Scheduled Tribe) parliamentary constituency. So far, 3 people have filed candidature forms from Godda parliamentary constituency.
Deputy Chief Electoral Officer said that since the release of election notification, the figure of seizure of goods and cash in Jharkhand has reached 1 billion, 13 crore 69 lakh. He said that till now 911 people have voted under home voting. 211 absent voters associated with essential services have cast their votes. Out of 2,05,525 voters engaged in election work, 19557 people have voted through postal ballot paper.
