Chandigarh: On the third day of filing of nominations for Lok Sabha Elections-2024, 31 nomination papers have been filed by 28 candidates for 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab.

Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C said that one candidate each from Fatehgarh Sahib and Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituencies has submitted nomination papers. Two candidates each from Sangrur, Amritsar, Bathinda and Firozpur have filed nomination papers, while three from Patiala, three from Anandpur Sahib, four from Khadur Sahib and five from Ludhiana. Whereas, 3 candidates from Faridkot have filed 6 nomination papers. 4 forms have been filled by 1 candidate. The Chief Electoral Officer said that no nomination papers have been filed by any candidate for the Gurdaspur and Jalandhar Lok Sabha seats on Thursday.

 

It is noteworthy that from May 7 to May 9, 68 nomination papers have been submitted by 61 candidates.
