Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Nanded, Maharashtra ahead of the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. These days, PM Modi, who is on Maharashtra tour for election campaign, is campaigning for Mahayutiya candidate Prataprao Patil Chikhlikar from Nanded parliamentary seat.
Addressing a public meeting, PM Modi said, “Yesterday, the first phase of voting concluded. I congratulate and thank all those who voted and especially those who voted for the first time. “The analysis that was done after the voting confirmed this.” Information received at booth level “In the first phase, NDA has got one-sided vote.
Apart from this, PM Modi targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that like Amethi, Congress will also lose its ground in Wayanad. He said, “Even Rajkumar of Congress is seeing trouble in Wayanad. Rajkumar and his group are waiting for the voting to be held in Wayanad on 26th April. Just as they had to flee Amethi, they will also leave Wayanad, if you believe.”
After Nanded, PM Modi left for Parbh. in Maharashtra. Earlier on Friday, PM had addressed a public meeting in Wardha district of Maharashtra. Later, from Maharashtra, PM Modi will head to Karnataka for scheduled election rallies in Bengaluru and Chikkaballapur. This is PM Modi’s third visit to Karnataka in this election season.
Apart from this, Modi will campaign for party candidates in North, Central, South and Rural seats of Bengaluru at a rally at the Palace Ground today. Minister of State (Agriculture) Shobha Karandlaje is contesting from Bengaluru North, while renowned cardiologist Dr CN Manjunath will contest from Bengaluru Rural. Voting will be held on both the seats of Maharashtra (Nanded and Parbh.) and Karnataka (Bengaluru and Chikkaballapur) during the second phase of the elections.
Meanwhile, PM Modi on Friday thanked voters for the overwhelming response during the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. In a social media post, PM Modi wrote, “Phase 1, great response! Thanks to everyone who voted. I am getting a good response from today’s voting, it is clear that people across India are voting for NDA in record numbers.”
According to the Election Commission of India, more than 60 percent voting was recorded till 7 pm. During the first phase of elections, simultaneous voting took place on 102 Lok Sabha and 92 assembly seats of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim on Friday. It is worth noting that this figure is provisional and subject to change.
