T20 World Cup 2024: The Board of Control for Cricket in India will announce the T20 World Cup team in a few days. For the team that last won the ICC Trophy in 2013, the 2024 T20 World Cup is a great opportunity for Rohit Sharma and Company to win. Many experts are giving their opinion on what an ideal 15-member Indian team should be like. There is also 100% agreement for two players who should be in the playing eleven, they are Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

Kohli should leave the number three spot for Shivam Dubey

Former star spinner of the Indian cricket team, Harbhajan Singh has given an interesting advice for Virat Kohli’s batting order. He said, I think Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma should open for India and Shivam Dubey should come at number three.

Harbhajan Singh also revealed the reason behind Virat Kohli’s departure.

Along with this he said, I would like to see a left-right combination at the top. If 6-7 overs are played and we have a player like Shivam Dubey, then he can come at number 3. Then Kohli can come at number 4. There is no disrespect in this. Kohli is a great player whether he plays at number 3 or 4 but the team comes first. If you ask this question to Kohli, he will also say that the team will come first.

Navjot Singh Sidhu gave this advice

Another former Indian star Navjot Singh Sidhu advised Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid and the BCCI selectors to choose three spinners and equally good fast bowlers. He said, “My direct advice to Rahul Dravid is that if you want to win this tournament, have specialist bowlers who can take five wickets, it is easy.” A situation of compromise degrades the character of the team. You have three spinners in Bishnoi, Kuldeep and Jadeja to pick yourself. If Mayank Yadav is fit then he can come in this team.

He said, India have many options and they should not compromise and should choose players who can both bat and bowl. Think about all the World Cup-winning captains, they would love to have quality bowling options. This is the secret. If seven batsmen cannot win you the World Cup, then even the eighth batsman cannot.
