Bhopal, 13 January (HS). Supreme Court Justice Sanjiv Khanna said that he himself is the son of a district judge. Sharing his entire judicial journey, he said that judges are respected not only in the courts but in every section of the society. Judges should be sensitive in every sphere of life. He expected the judges to do judicial work more sensitively and responsibly towards every section of the society.

Justice Sanjeev Khanna was addressing the inauguration program of the 10th biennial conference of Madhya Pradesh Judges Association held at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal on Saturday as the chief guest. Special guests in the program were Supreme Court Justices .ruddha Bose and JK Maheshwari and Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Ravi Malimath. The guests inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. The Sangh’s new “People and Fat” was unveiled in the programme. The book “Backlogs to Breakthroughs” was released by Justice Sanjiv Khanna. A “souvenir” was also released by Justice .ruddha Bose, a bilingual version of the Constitution of the Judges Association was released by Justice JK Maheshwari.

Madhya Pradesh Judges Association President Subodh Jain, in his welcome address, mentioned the work done by the Chief Justice of the state for the upliftment of the judges and revealed various issues affecting the District Court judges. On this occasion, while expressing his views on issues like the start of live streaming of court proceedings and the meetings org.zed in relation to the judges who have passed away in the past years, he said that the org.zed convention should be a different initiative for the judges.

Supreme Court Justice .ruddha Bose, while expressing his concern regarding the number of cases pending in the courts and the delay in resolving them, expected that the judges should resolve as many cases as possible and make effective use of alternative dispute resolution methods.

Justice JK Maheshwari of the Supreme Court appealed to the judges to be conscious of their duty, calling the work a sacred task. He said that the courts should be conscious of the oath taken by the judges at the time of their appointment and the protection of the fundamental rights of the citizens under the Constitution. He has advised the judges to work free from attachment, greed, fear and hatred.

Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh, Justice Ravi Malimath, while giving the example of resolution of a case pending for 60 years, said that the judge should work hard and do the best work for the final resolution of the case. He congratulated the judges for working at a fast pace under the “25 Old Cases” Redressal Scheme, and also said that by ending the endless process of case delay, the judge can take the case to its final disposal with his hard work.

In the second session of the first day, Justice Vikram Nath of the Supreme Court presented the compilation of administrative orders and instructions issued from time to time on various subjects by the High Court, Madhya Pradesh for the use of the judges of the High Court, which is available to the judges at a single click. The website is available with a search engine.

All the judges of the three division benches of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh were present in the session and about 1450 judges of the District Court were present. After the first session, the first day of the convention was an academic session regarding Vision 2047 and a technical session regarding the delay in bail petition disposal and board management. On which various judges gave their opinions.
