Fine on Ishan Kishan: Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan has been fined for violating the IPL code of conduct during the match against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday, April 27. BCCI has imposed a fine of 10 percent of the match fee on Ishan Kishan. In this match MI had to face defeat by 10 runs. Batting first, Delhi Capitals scored 257 runs, in response to which Mumbai could score only 247 runs.

According to a press release issued by the BCCI, Kishan has committed a Level 1 offense under Section 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He pleaded guilty and accepted the match referee’s punishment. The press release further stated that the match referee’s decision for Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct is final.

Ishan Kishan has been charged with a Level 1 offense under Section 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. This includes actions outside the norms of cricket, including damaging advertising boards, boundary fences and other fixtures, as well as misuse of cricket equipment during matches.

However, BCCI did not tell in the press release what mistake Ishan Kishan committed during the match. But it is clear that this involves a violation of Article 2.2. These penalties are imposed on players to maintain the integrity of the game and adhere to the standards of conduct set by the league.
