Hisar, 9 May (Hissar). The police, who are trying to improve the traffic system of the city, have instructed taxi and auto drivers to wear the prescribed uniform. If anyone disobeys these instructions, action will be taken against him.

In this regard, Traffic Station Manager Jai Bhagwan and Zonal Traffic Inspector Neeraj on Thursday instructed taxi and auto drivers at the main taxi stand of the city to wear the prescribed uniform while driving their vehicles. Police Station Manager Jai Bhagwan and Zonal Traffic Inspector Neeraj Kumar told the taxi and auto drivers that a dress code has been implemented for all taxi and auto drivers. Under this, it has been made mandatory for all taxi/auto drivers to wear gray colored uniform with a badge on the left side of the chest. In this regard, orders have been issued to all taxi/auto unions to make auto drivers aware about wearing uniforms. He said that all drivers should compulsorily start wearing uniform as per the standards. If the rules are violated, challan action will be taken by the traffic police under the Motor Vehicles Act.

Police officials said that auto and e-rickshaw drivers will now have to work in dress. Taxi and auto drivers will now have to wear gray colored uniform with badges. These have been issued with a view to maintain discipline among taxi/auto drivers.
