HDFC ERGO General Insurance on Wednesday (May 8) announced the withdrawal of three variants of its health insurance product My:Health Suraksha. Additionally, customers will no longer be able to purchase or renew My:Health Suraksha Gold, My:Health Suraksha Platinum and My:Health Suraksha Silver plans.

Currently HDFC Ergo My: Health Protection offers four types of health insurance policies. Its fourth variant is Koti Suraksha. The company has not withdrawn this variant of the policy.

Customers holding these insurance policy plans will be able to transfer to any other policy. Regarding this, a spokesperson of the company said that at HDFC ERGO we have various products available to meet the different needs of the customers.

As per Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) guidelines, HDFC ERGO said it will offer policy options like Optima Secure and Arogya Sanjeev. to all existing policyholders, including senior citizens, as per its underwriting guidelines.

Apart from this, the spokesperson has also given information about the features of Optima Restore. Following the scheme withdrawal, this policy will be offered to existing My: Swasthya Suraksha policyholders.
