Bharuch, 9 May (Hindustan Reporter) A person has been arrested from Bharuch on charges of spying on the Indian Army. The accused was sending secret information of the Indian Army to Pakistan. Accused Praveen Kumar Mishra, resident of Bihar, was made a victim of honeytrap by the agent of Pakistan and later started getting information from him.

Additional Director General of Police, Ahmedabad CID Crime, Rajkumar Pandian said that the accused Praveen Kumar Mishra used to work in the chemical factory of Jhagadiya in Bharuch district. He is an aeronautical engineer who, after completing his studies, worked in a company supplying materials to DRDO in Hyderabad. Through social media, he came in contact with an ISI handler named Sonal Garg. The handler trapped Praveen Mishra in a honeytrap. After this the ISI handler started seeking information from Praveen.

It is alleged that Praveen gave information about different Indian agencies and comp.es to the ISI handler. Also gave information about BrahMos missile. Information was also sent regarding the supply of materials to DRDO by a company based in Ankleshwar. Praveen also tried to send malware to the computer of a company in Ankleshwar, so that all the sensitive information of the company could be obtained.

Based on the input received from MI Udhampur unit, CID Crime started the operation. The investigation revealed a surprising finding of information about a conspiracy against India through WhatsApp or messages, voice calls etc. from retired and serving employees of the Army, DRDO, HAL and employees associated with the manufacturing and research and development of India’s missile systems. The revelation came to light. On the basis of this, Praveen Kumar Mishra, who was in contact with an operative of Pakistan Intelligence Agency, has been arrested for sending sensitive information related to the country’s security. More than 20 suspects are on the radar in the case, the operation is being continued keeping them under investigation.
